We recommend that you spend a day or an afternoon exploring "volcano country" in the Auvergne, and discovering some of France’s magnificent viewpoints and outstanding natural landscapes.

The upward journey is pleasant and simple, by means of recently built wooden steps. The journey involves a short 15-minute walk through an authentic and replanted natural setting.
Visitors can then admire the Puy de Pariou, an extinct volcano with a rounded crater now covered in vegetation, in all its simple, peaceful beauty.
As we take a trip around the Puy, the entire volcano chain comes into view, including the famous Puy de Dôme which is nearby.
The outstanding beauty of these views always generates a marvellous sense of well-being and provides a chance to enjoy the pure and simple pleasures of Nature during your holiday in central France.
