Guaranteed thrills more than 80 m above ground at Crapa’Hutte
Guaranteed thrills more than 80 m above ground at Crapa’Hutte

Get your fill of thrills!

Forest adventure parks, via cordas, via ferratas, zip lines… there are endless ways to experience ultimate thrills all while attached to a lifeline. Whether 2, 10 or 45 m above ground, find here the sites in Auvergne where you can discover your inner Tarzan!

Treetop adventure parks

This popular activity involves easily hopping from tree to tree using elements requiring balance and height management while taking responsibility for your own safety. You’ll advance along the platforms with fun elements including monkey bridges, rope bridges, footbridges, ladders, climbing walls and Tarzan swings before sliding down a zip line. This activity is not just for experienced climbers, but can be enjoyed as a family or with friends so that everyone can experience the thrill.

After listening to the instructions and advice of the professionals, put on your harness and helmet and choose which of the trails to set off on, depending on the difficulty you’re looking for. Just follow your lifeline and don’t let it go!

In the Cantal, the Margeride forest adventure park offers a special trail for children ages 2 and up.

Most of the other sites have trails just for kids, accessible to children ages 3 and up.

Via corda and via ferrata

These activities take place on cliffs or in gorges where lifelines have been fixed to the rock and provide a route that participants can follow along safely.

While it’s technically different than rock climbing, via ferrata and via corda provide just as much excitement. Participants can discover views that are otherwise inaccessible and always impressive.

An activity to discover alongside a professional guide or individually for the more experienced.

Unique and out-of-the-ordinary

Fantasticable in Super-Besse! This giant, 1600 m long zip line offers a high-flying flight 45 m above the ski resort. The Fantasticable has a height difference of 240 m, the largest in France. Take the head-first ride individually or with a partner, in summer or in winter, with speeds of up to 120 km/h! Note that the zip line is reserved for children ages 8 and up weighing at least 30 kg.

The Prabouré zip line! The highest zip line in the Massif Central takes you on an 800 m long, 110 m high ride above the Ance Valley. “Sitting” in the harness, enjoy speeds of up to 80 km/h (60 km/h for kids, ages 8 and up).

There are 3 options for the return trip: those looking for a challenge can take the via ferrata hiking trail by way of the footbridge or follow the marked trails. Those looking for less of a challenge can head back by car.
