The Auvergne: traditional Nordic skiing

In all, there are more than 950 km (590 miles) of specially laid out and marked out pistes awaiting you in the Auvergne: they offer a wealth of breathtaking views as they cross the Massif du Sancy, the Cantal area, the Forez region, the Sucs du Velay, the slopes of  Le Mézenc, or the Montagne Bourbonnaise.

All the fun of snow sports… as a family

In all of the hills and highlands, each resort has several trails set aside for Nordic activities. These are well marked out and well prepared pistes for visitors of all levels, making them ideal for small hikes or for the organisation of more demanding sports hikes in total safety.

6 ski areas are covered by the "Nordique France" quality label.

In the Auvergne, skiing is synonymous with a strong family spirit. As an example, cross-country skiing is practised here from the age of four years old upwards. In their own way everyone gets to enjoy the benefits of this gentle sport which builds endurance. Yet another good reason to get out on the slopes together and enjoy a great holiday as a family.
