At the foot of one of the highest volcanoes in Auvergne (Le Plomb du Cantal – 1,858 m), Le Lioran is the region's best-equipped resort, boasting 42 ski trails and 21 lifts including 1 cable car and 8 chair lifts.
No crowds but an array of secure facilities – and above all a vast range of winter sports for all ages, all levels and all tastes!

Alpine skiing
• 42 trails:
11 1412 5• 60 km of trails
• 1 cable car, 8 chair lifts, 12 ski lifts, 3 baby lifts and 1 rope tow
• 212 snow guns (covering 20 km and 17 trails, as well as beginners' area)
• Permanent slalom park with timed runs
• New winter sports:
- the snow park is located at the heart of the resort, with options for all levels (table tops from 4 m to 15 m, rails, etc.). It is equipped with a tow rope, sound system and floodlights. Free sessions and test runs organised.
- Boardercross: located on the 1,200 m “Bois de Veyrière” slope, which ends at the snow park. Combination runs possible for 4–6 people at once.
Ski touring and Alpine trekking
• Alpine trekking: half-day excursions, equipment provided (crampons and ice axes)
• Introduction to ski touring: half-day excursions, equipment provided (skis and climbing skin)
• Ski trekking: meal in refuge and equipment included (touring skis, climbing skins and head lamp)
Required level: competent skier on blue slopes; newcomers to ski trekking welcome
