Nature has certainly been generous in the Auvergne, in the form of two outstanding regional nature parks. Two marvellous havens of peace and freedom including rare animal species and a range of flora which is as dense and varied as it is abundant. More than just wild and unspoiled areas, the regional nature parks in the Auvergne also provide valuable natural refuges, ideal for green tourism and sustainable tourism activities.
When you travel here, your journey really has a meaning. A stay in the Auvergne provides a chance to experience life in the region, along with its history, its culture and its inhabitants.
Tourism here is based on a number of key values, including environmental quality, responsibility and community-mindedness, openness and a willingness to share.
Above all however, our nature parks are our ambassadors. By protecting the delicate balance of the local eco-system, they contribute to preserving our natural assets today, for a better world tomorrow.
