A charming break in the bourbonnaise area.
As a fortified town and a major trading centre in the Middle Ages, Charroux’s mediaeval heritage includes carved stone facades, a wood panelled house and remarkably well preserved corbelled construction features in addition to a large number of wells.
A very special atmosphere can be found in this small village, which is today famous for its legendary mustard produced by a local craftsman.

*Don't miss: The Museum of Charroux and surrounding area (popular art and tradition), The Maison des Horloges, The Moutarderie, the Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste with its truncated spire, or a tour of the village in a horse-drawn carriage…
