Pradelles, a Vivaroise town, today the gateway to the Velay region to the south.
As a key location on the high pastures in the 11th century, Pradelles’ old town has retained an impressive architectural heritage including the Saint-Clément and La Verdette gates, the Sainte-Reine fountain, the Mazouric House or the Romanesque chapel of Notre-Dame. At an altitude of 1,150 metres (3773 ft) it offers sweeping views across the Margeride, the Allier, the Naussac dam and the Mézenc.

*Don't miss: The Cheval de Trait Museum (Shire horse museum) or the Pradelles Vélo-rail system (bicycle rail).
