Another art form has also made the town internationally famous: the Short Film Festival. As the Auvergne's very own "Cannes" we are very proud to be hosting France's second-largest film festival after the well-known southern French red carpet event.

It’s impossible to mention Clermont- Ferrand without thinking of Michelin. But although you probably know that the town is synonymous with this legendary tyre maker, have you heard of "the Aventure Michelin" ? This is a 2000 m2 ( 21,500 sq. ft) museum and display area featuring a superb visual, chronological and themed visit route tracing the life and work of the two brothers who founded the company, the incredible industrial adventure unfolding here, the company’s technological and advertising innovations, its latest news and plans for the future.

Nearby, why not soak up the excitement in the stands at the Marcel-Michelin sports stadium during an ASM Clermont Auvergne match, as you enjoy one of the best rugby match day atmospheres to be found in France and perhaps even in Europe?
The ASM rugby team has become an institution its own right, and one with which everyone in Clermont-Ferrand closely identifies, as do all of the Auvergne's inhabitants.
